48 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2020
This is the perspective of artist of the month Kitsy
Anderson:
I have always had a fascination with log cabins. They
remind me of the struggles of our forefathers. I read
stories of pioneers from my heritage and am reminded
of the difficult life, hard work and the sacrifices it took to
build a home. I am especially grateful for my home here in
Four Seasons and for the life I have been blessed with. Log
cabins help put things in perspective for me. I have been
fortunate to have the opportunity to take the Mixed Media Art Class with Rob Kelman. This class has helped me renew my love of drawing which
had been put on the back-burner for many years. I joined the class about a year ago and have enjoyed it very much. I have learned techniques
and tricks in regards to shading, perspective, color, and lighting. Being a part of this class has given me the chance to also learn from other talented
class members and receive their shared insights and encouragement.
I'm in awe of the artwork and variety of media being used. There is always encouragement and support no matter our subject matter, ability,
or learning curve. Come see and enjoy!
