18 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2020 DID YOU KNOW? DID YOU KNOW? DID YOU KNOW that U.S. Code states it is universal custom to fly the flag only from sunrise to sunset? However, the flag may be displayed 24 hours a day if it is properly illuminated during the hours of darkness. How to illuminate properly? Ideally, each fixture should produce 150 lumens with a narrow beam. The lighting fixtures should be installed around three feet from the flag pole and aimed at the top of the flag pole. This arrangement will allow lights to spread and illuminate the flag itself, no matter which way the wind blows. When considering where to place fixtures, keep in mind that the flag needs to be illuminated regardless of wind strength and direction. For example, If your flag is five feet wide, lighting must cover the area of a 10-foot diameter circled with the pole being in the center. DID YOU KNOW that canceling an amenity reservation is just as easy as making one? On the website welcome page, click on the blue Reservations button. This will take you to the reservation page. Just above and to the upper right of the select amenity tab, you will see "My Reservations," underlined and in light blue. Clicking on that will bring up your personal list of reservations. To the left of each reservation, you have the opportunity to view or delete. If you aren't going to use a particular reservation, please be considerate and delete it so that the amenity space can be reopened for other residents to use. DO YOU REMEMBER that the weekly Retail-Me- Not advertisement flyer is now available for pickup starting on Wednesdays at 7 am at The Lodge, The Courts, and The Summit? DO YOU REMEMBER that outside guests are not currently allowed in any of our facilities? Thank you for abiding by the restrictions during this time. If you have lost a loved one and would like to let others know, you can have the information placed in this column in the Breeze.
