The Pink
Ukuladies & Gents
Many of our Pink Ukuladies & Gents
continue practicing on Zoom with both the
Yucaipa Yukes as well as Barry Thompson's
Loma Linda Strummers.
Every week there is an opportunity to
learn new techniques from the Loma Linda
Strummers' group. They actively work on
transposition of keys, second to fifth position
on the fret (the neck) of the ukulele, as well as new strumming methods.
The future for our group remains undetermined; in the meantime,
those who are attending Zoom meetings are deriving pleasure and a
needed break from isolation.
Country Western
Dance
There has been no article for the club since July. The reason
is that there really wasn't much to say since no club activities
were permitted.
Starting back in October a few clubhouse activities have
been opened including meetings in three Multipurpose Rooms.
Hopefully, the opening of the Clubhouse, (libraries, exercise
rooms, meeting rooms), will remain so through the year.
Being optimistic, we cannot even think about resuming
anything close to normal club activities until well into next year.
Let's see what happens in the next few months and if the
Clubhouses remain open we will see if we can safely restart
activities next year.
