| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2020 | 71 I found the joke! Resident name (first & last): ________________________________________ This was the joke: _______________________________________________ Comments (we LOVE your notes - about anything!): _______________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ Last month's joke… Last month we ran a group notice or the Bug Eating Society. That's a hard pass for me. I hope you're all doing well. When the pandemic started, articles had a hopeful "see you soon" vibe. Now, even though we're slowly opening, many of you are just done with 2020. Me too. COVID will be over before we know it and we will commence with the hugging again. Just hang in there. If you would like to win a free dinner (or something equivalent - we'll think of something good), find the ad, article or just weird, out-of-place, completely made-up (and hopefully funny) item in this month's Lifestyles. When you find it, fill out the box below and (new!) EMAIL IT TO sunlakesnews@ yahoo.com before noon on the sixth of the month. If you are the first correct guess chosen at random, you will win a free dinner (or something). Good luck! Congratulations to this month's Dinner (or something) Winner: JOY BAILEY Please call Kelly in the Admin. Office for your Sun Lakes Restaurant dinner (or something). OUR ADVERTISERS ARE Payment for the production of Lifestyles (and the reason it's free to homeowners) is due to the generous support of our advertisers. Please thank them by visiting their place of business or calling them first whenever you need their service or product. THE BEST! What wine goes best with this crunchy meal? ~ George P. Always fun to find the joke. Keep up the good work. Ron S. Does that include the garter snake I found under my patio furniture? Susan C. Thought it was funny but in some countries, they do eat bugs! Ernie & Vita T. More fields and open land… road kill (with BUGS attached). Beaumont too overgrown with buildings, too much competition. Margaret T. Can't wait - wine and crunchy bug appetizers. Woody C. Great Halloween costume! Deanne S. I liked the pure and protein packed crunchity goodness! Ingeborg C. In many foreign countries, I have eaten what they set before me, but I don't care for local bugs. Thanks for the fun! Sharon K. Sounds delicious. Need some variety to my current menu! Darleen M. I'll do dessert... got a garage full of crickets, and they entertain during dinner... chirp! chirp! Jeanne V. Will the bug diet be costly, or can I catch my own? Harriet B. I really want to go but I don't have a bug costume. Jean B. your comments: GET THE JOKE! Send your entry to sunlakesnews@yahoo.com BABES Join the Beaumont Area Bug Eating Society (BABES) in the enjoyment, learning, and fun of eating bugs. Learn to love the pure and protein-packed crunchity goodness. Bugs are nutritionally rich yet low in calories. We share recipes, and once COVID is over, will have tastings and BBBQs (yes, that extra B is for bugs!). We do a monthly bug scavenger hunt to see if we can find new tastes in the community. Men and women welcome. There is only one rule… you must wear the bug costume — and mask! — at all times around the community and in your home.
