COMMITTEE NEWS
By Greg Hill
We are presently meeting on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 10 am via Zoom.
We continue to seek new members or participants to work on our new streaming show, Colony NOW, which will be a monthly
streaming program celebrating all aspects of The Colony.
The Committee continues to develop and explore the history of The Colony by asking all residents for their
stories, pictures or artifacts that might contribute to a documentary and/or coffee table book about the
history of The Colony, lo these many years.
We are seeking a webmaster or webmistress to help Kara Hardy, our Activities Director
and Jake Henricksen, our Technical Advisor, to compile material for the new, exciting Colony
website.
The Committee is also seeking approval from the Board for publication of a digital
census for the year 2020, by which we can know what digital services residents have
and how to reach those without such services. It is our estimation that as many as
one-third of our residents do not receive digital communications. Everyone who
submits their contact information will be entered into a raffle to win one of two
prizes. First place prize will be a digital sports camera, accessories and a traveling
case; second prize will be a selfie stick and tripod with automatic remote
shutter.
We are earnestly seeking additional members for our committee.
The Committee welcomes our two most recent members, Rita
Nastri and Joanne Perry.
