Garden Club
Bad News / Good News: Well… the bad news is that we are still not able to hold
meetings in person where we can enjoy each other's company and hear from our excellent
guest speakers. The good news is that garden lovers may be finding that they have more
time for their gardens during this shut-down period. Many of us are looking for ways to
enhance our stay-at-home lives as the fall/winter season approaches — when the days get
shorter and the months seem to get longer.
Recently one of our Board members found an interesting website that features gardening
'hacks' and other tips that we think you might like. We hope you will enjoy reading about
some of these 'quirky' experiments. Maybe you will try a few of them to help fill your own
stay-at-home-hours in the coming months. Check out this link and see what you think:
https://shareably.net/15-wild-gardening-hacks/.
If you decide to give any of these experiments a try, or if you have others that you would
like to share with us, we would love to hear from you. Tell us about your experience and we
will share with Garden Club members through our webpage on the OHCC website. We may
even feature your experiment in one of our
monthly magazine articles. Are you game?
Let's give it a try! Just send a short email
to RaleneFriend@gmail.com and one of us
will follow up with you. We look forward to
hearing from you!
The Garden Club Board members want
to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. We look
forward to once again being able to meet
in person to refresh our friendship and
welcome new members. In the meantime,
we remain grateful for each of you and for
our beautiful OHCC garden community.
