12 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2020 | My Christmas Greeting to Lifestyles Committee Friends A big shout-out to the Lifestyles Advisory Committee. I am so grateful to be on this committee. Each member is special in his or her own way. Marcia Gold has led us well. She does so with a flare. She is a calming, gracious lady. Don Savacool always has such great questions and ideas. And his humor will be sorely missed. Jeannie Lloyd became a member this year. She has been very responsive to me, which is much appreciated. Judy Garthwaite is so upbeat and always complimentary. Robin Warner is our newest addition. What a great find she is! When our friend Carolyn Wright passed away, Robin came onboard. Raelene Kretchman is extremely knowledgeable, and I can always count on her to be truthful with me. Elise Campbell, our Recreation Director. When Elise came on board, she hit the ground running. She does it with style. What a trooper! Marsha Midgett, Master Board Liaison, is a pleasure to work with. We learn a lot from her. Jason Ewals, our Assistant General Manager, has always been helpful, kind and responsive. Courtney Taylor, our Lifestyles Editor, is last but certainly not least. Courtney has had to be more creative during this challenging year. She has reached out to the committee as well as the community for our thoughts and ideas. We are very fortunate to have her as our editor. However you celebrate, wishing everyone a most blessed holiday season. ~ My best always, Connie Cutner My father loved Thanksgiving. He usually cooked and on this particular holiday, he got up early around 5 am and started his turkey and all of the trimmings. He happened to buy a smaller bird than usual so it was done and on the table at 10 am. He promptly called his children living in the area and told us to get over there to eat thanksgiving dinner for brunch. Best meal ever! We lost him 16 years ago and this is still a favorite story of mine and all who was there. Happy Holidays! ~ Carol Stockham Holiday Memories
