The Colony Elf has been happily watching as gift contributions
come in for Toys for Tots for Southwest Riverside County's
needy children.
As I wrote last month, Charity Lists have been created with
the Camp Pendleton YMCA and Amazon, Walmart and Target
that will allow sponsors to participate in a COVID-friendly way.
Over the years, Colony residents have donated more than 5,000
toys. This year, more than ever, your gifts will really help to
allay the anxieties, frustrations and financial hardships that
COVID has brought.
The links to the three Charity Lists are:
• Amazon: https://amzn.to/2ZfowTe
• Walmart: www.walmart.com/lists/view-events-registry-
items?id=71ff731e-448b-4c87-96fa-c613ab43d1ed
• Target: tgt.gifts/ASYMCACP
The last day for online shopping for your gifts is Dec. 10,
which will give the Elves time to organize and distribute
them. Additionally, if any club, organization or person would
like to participate on a larger scale, the Y also provides Santa's
Workshop and Secret Santa programs which can be accessed
as follows: programs: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/cu/

The Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation is an IRS-
RECOGNIZED 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit public charity. I have
received many beautiful thank you notes and pictures from the
parents and children who participated in this program. Please
join me in making this holiday special for as many kids as we
can. The kids surely do thank you! Have a happy and very
Merry Christmas.
