"My display for the Thanking Essential Workers Contest featured
a wounded warrior saluting the flag that had the thin red and blue
lines honoring police and firefighters. My neighbor's grandson
saw the display and asked why the soldier only had one leg. The
grandmother told him that sometimes very brave people get hurt,
but they still honor our flag by saluting as it is a gesture of respect.
What a great memory I have to hold on to for entering this contest."

holiday cheer around the
neighborhood! This year we
want to see just how creative
you can be… so, round up the
Christmas elves, get out your
bows, ribbons and tinsel and
decorate your garage doors!
And of course, this is a contest,
so send your photos to me no
later than Tuesday, Dec. 15 to
enter. Voting will begin on
Friday, Dec. 18 via an eBlast.
