Don Britton, our featured artist this
month, is an award-winning artist who
creates representational oil paintings of the
landscapes of the American West, from the
California coast to the deserts and canyons of
the Southwest to the Northern Rockies.
Don and his wife Suzie moved from Lake
Tahoe to The Colony in 2015. This is Don's
third showing as our Artist of the Month.
Initially Don had pursued a career in
neuroscience, a field in which he received a PhD
from Ohio State University, and had painted on the
side. However, in 2004 he committed to being a full-time artist.
He is also an international artist, having some of his paintings
hanging in U.S. Embassies. For more information on Don, you
