Village Line Dancers Until we return to in-person lessons, we have Zoom classes. Zoom Line Dancing classes actually have some surprising ADVANTAGES! 1. If you have "two left feet," learning where no one can distract you is a good way of getting started. 2. If you are having a really bad hair day, no worries. We keep our cameras off during instruction — it's optional before and after instruction. 3. "Come as you are!" it makes life a little easier. 4. Keep your car in the garage. 5. The class is never canceled due to weather (which may happen if we ever get to hold classes outside). 6. Control your own room temperature or personal electric fan. 7. You can stop and observe, take notes, rest, take a call, or take a water break on your own schedule. 8. You are staying safe, not only from COVID but colds and seasonal flu. So, take a deep breath without worry. 9. You can dance like nobody is watching! As we go through this pandemic, our Club's President, Valdene Ramrus, is being extremely creative and exploring every way possible with OHCC management to create a safe area for line dancing classes for those who prefer in-person classes. Outside dancing safely has a lot of challenges but Valdene is not giving up. Meanwhile, Christine is offering on-line classes as long as there is enough interest on Tuesdays at 11 am (Intermediate) and Tuesdays at 12:30 pm (Beginner). Want to try a class? Village Squares has enjoyed many happy times over our long history. We have danced, eaten, laughed, shared, and loved being in this friendly group. Now that the year is coming to a close, we look back on all the times we have shared and wish for all of you a very happy, if somewhat changed, holiday season.
