Woodchucks
As we write the Woodchuck article
in our COVID-19-safe burrow, we stand
ready to deliver the 100s of toys so
generously donated by our OHCC friends
and neighbors. We joined the Vets' Club
celebration on Veterans Day. The visiting
Marines delivered the many boxes of toys
and gift cards to add to the holiday joy
for the Kids of Camp Pendleton. What an
honor to be a part of this celebration.
The Woodchuck Master Toy Builders
have made up for the time lost in
quarantine and created some of the
heirloom toys we proudly display each
year. Among those are 50 hand-painted
cradles that the Sewing Club adorns
with colorful quilted blankets to match.
The photos feature Jerry and Carolyn
Hollander's exceptional work as they
hand-paint the cradles to match yearly
themes… the sea, frogs, bears, farm
animals, and the Menorah.
