4 | OHCC LIVING | DECEMBER 2020 | This report is hereby published in December, written in November from October information about our September performance resulting from August reactions to July events… As usual, the absence of bad news in the first line of this summary means we're fine – read on if you're interested in the details. Of course, any homeowner can access more financial information on the OHCC website, at www. oceanhillscountryclub.com >> Resident login. Once you're logged in, go to Board/Villages/Committees >> OHCC Master Board >> OHCC Financials >> Financials >> 2020 >> latest month (September, at the time of this writing). It's a complex path, but we expect the website committee to make it easier in the future. While you're there, you might be interested in examining OHCC's financial history – plenty of it is on display. September's financial information was considered by your Executive Finance Committee (EFC) on Oct. 20, which reviewed a reconciliation of operating and reserve accounts, income/expense for operating and reserve accounts, actual operating revenues and expenses compared to the current budget, account statements prepared by our banks, check registers, general ledger, and delinquent assessments. Overall, no anomalies or problems were encountered. Treasurer's Report By Henry Eisenson, Incoming Treasurer Here is a condensation of our latest (as of Sept. 30, 2020) basic numbers: Operating Cash – banked and insured $1.3M Receivables $135k Capital Improvement Reserves $782k Cash reserves – banked and insured $5.4M Liabilities (accounts/taxes payable, ARC deposits, etc.) $618k That information defines an HOA in excellent condition. We continue to develop our use of Strongroom to manage disbursements. That AvidXchange software reduces workload, minimizes errors, and improves security, as illuminated on www.avidxchange.com. In the Nov. 12 meeting of the Master Board, I asked homeowners for help in improving our financial position. I asked you to generate financial ideas, report observations, and critique our financial management. Our community luckily includes an incredible mass of talent and experience, and I am optimistic that involving homeowners in the financial oversight process will help improve our already excellent position. To help readers handle the delay in collecting data, Treasurer Reports will end with a prediction regarding the next month's report, which (as I'm sure you understand) will cover the previous month's performance. Really. At this moment – written in November, read by you in December – my prediction for October is that we'll still be fine Ask about our OHCC discount!
