| OHCC LIVING | DECEMBER 2020 | 5 Contract Committee to waive the issuance of a performance bond for the golf course irrigation and reconstruction as too costly and of limited benefit and concurred with the recommendation. • Finally, the Board reviewed two delinquencies which were subsequently acted on in Thursday's meeting. During the Regular Meeting (via Zoom) of the Board on Nov. 12 the Board: • Approved the Minutes of the meeting of Oct. 8, 2020. • Accepted the report of the Executive Finance Committee of Oct. 20 • Accepted the September 2020 Financial Reports • Approved anticipated fund transfers exceeding $10,000. • Recorded two liens to secure delinquencies. • Adopted a proposed change to our Rules and Regulations regarding animal control. In keeping with statutory requirements and our governing documents, these proposed changes will be circulated to the Members for a minimum 28-day comment period. • Discussed a preliminary effort at assigning priorities to various projects. The initial listing of projects and rankings will be published on the OHCC website to elicit suggestions from the Members for further consideration at the December Regular meeting. • Heard two appeals from ARC decisions, remanding one related to the pergola attachment to the roof to the Village of Mykonos for action and upholding the homeowner on a matter involving the paint color of a gate. • Adopted a proposed change to our Rules and Regulations regarding back gates and the requirement for ARC approval. • Reappointed the Budget and Finance Committee to consist of Henry Eisenson (Chair), Greg Kusiak, Angela Takemoto, Kathryn Fitzwilliam, Kevin Cryan and John Lesser. • Appointed members to a new standing committee entitled Community Image and Marketing Committee and charged them with drafting a committee charter for approval at the December Regular meeting. Appointees were Chris Ross, Christy Cooper, Judy Caston, Judy Graham, Jeff Mowers, Kathy Harper, Nancy Trimino, Tom Murphy and Betsy Murphy (non-voting). • Solicited members for an ad hoc Emergency Monitoring Committee to review the current systems and options for replacement or substitution. • Approved a request to purchase new LED stage lights for Abravanel Hall for an amount not to exceed $2,000. • Director Gorman addressed an inquiry into the ARC process of requiring deposits with applications, with the possibility of suspending the deposit requirement for a trial period. • Treasurer Eisenson solicited suggestions from the Members regarding options to save the HOA money, and suggested the creation of an on-line index to enable Members to navigate through the maze of laws, rules, regulations, etc. By the time my next President's message reaches you, we will have passed the Thanksgiving holiday and be accelerating toward the December holidays and the beginning of the New Year.
