Garden Club Celebrating life in Ocean Hills Our fall weather has been absolutely beautiful. We hope you are able to get out every day to enjoy the luscious growth and variety of plants and trees throughout our community. As we explore the various villages, we see beautiful landscape choices and creative decorations that people have made from the 'fruits' of their gardens. We are fortunate to live where we can take a healthy walk and enjoy nature at the same time. Perhaps you have found ways to bring that nature home to those who are housebound by sharing photos or slide shows with neighbors who are not able to walk about the community. Even though times are difficult right now and our activities are restrained, we are certainly fortunate to be able to enjoy the great outdoors more than most areas of the country. As our east coast neighbors pointed out recently — it is difficult to tell when one season ends and another starts here in southern California. The variety of plants, flowers, and creative arrangements at any given time of the year is spectacular, as demonstrated in the photos in this article. Send us your photos — we are happy to share them in future articles! By the way… in last month's column, we shared a link to an article with some intriguing 'garden hacks'. Maybe you will want to explore a couple of these 'hacks' and share your experience. If you do, don't forget to send photos so we can share them on our webpage and/or in a future column. We hope that 2021 will bring us together soon for our regular meetings and garden tours. In the meantime, the Garden Club Board extends our appreciation to club members and other 'green thumb' neighbors for helping make Ocean Hills a beautiful place to live.
