First, a big and heartfelt apology - last month I highlighted
the residents that post flags, almost 1,800 flags eight times a
year, but I omitted three of these hard workers: Karen Stevens
who has worked with Ginny Cole-Weaver for some time and
Linda and Rick Adkins who not only post flags but who have
been instrumental in our Field of Honor effort (the larger
flags in the round-about in front of The Lodge).
The Halloween Cart Parade was a much bigger success than
I expected (Donna is saying "I told you so" a lot lately). Thank
you for those of you who contributed to its success, both as
participants and as spectators! I am always amazed by the
creativity and spirit of our community. The costumes and
cart decorations were fantastic. For those of you that missed
the Halloween Parade, there is the Holiday Parade on Dec. 18;
watch for email blasts from Tracie and the flyer in this issue
of the Herald. At this point I need to give a shout out to Tracie
(from The Lodge) for all her help that is indispensable to the
success of all the parades. Thank you, Tracie!
