young at heart We will be taking a break in June and July, but there will be plenty of activities to keep us all busy. Charity Week kicks off on Mon., June 24, and there will be an event going on every day that week. In addition, we look forward to seeing many of our friends at the Music Under the Stars on Sat., June 29, from 6 to 9 pm on the driving range and veranda. Fri., July 19, will be the second Music Under the Stars, with the third and final musical evening on Sat., Aug. 31. We hope to see many of you out there, enjoying the summer evenings. Mark your calendars for Sun., Aug. 18, as we get back together for our barbecue at the Main Clubhouse pool. There will be plenty of food cooking on the barbecues to quench your appetites. This event is free of charge. The cut-off date to RSVP will be Aug. 11. Please bring a side dish of your choice, but no desserts will be needed. Sing with us in chorus, small groups, or quartets in Barbershop Harmony. Previous singing experience is desirable but not necessary. Come and listen. All the necessary condiments will be provided by Young At Heart. Sat., Sept. 28, will be the annual Black Tie event in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom and is open to ALL Sun Lakes residents. Arrive at 5:30 pm for cocktails, with dinner to follow at 6:30 pm. Sign up for this very fashionable dinner dance by Sept. 23, with checks made payable to Young At Heart and delivered to Michele Walter at 4713 Skyview Circle. The cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Friends who wish to sit together must submit all checks together. Seating will be at TABLES OF EIGHT ONLY; NO EXCEPTIONS. Music for the evening will be by The Skyline Express. If you haven't yet joined us, you can still get in on all the remaining functions planned for the second half of the year.
