Performing Arts Club We have inside information that there are multi-talented people living in Four Seasons. Yep… you've been found out. We now know you have always wanted to direct a mini-musical, and look forward to your directorial debut. We are planning a 60 minute musical medley evening featuring Broadway and/or Hollywood songs or musical excerpts. We envision a director to oversee just one scene and maybe two songs, each "mini-musical" to last no more than ten minutes. That way, you (wearing your director's hat) would direct just one ten-minute mini-musical. You could even have a cast of only one singer if you choose. Not a lot of rehearsals, etc., and the pay is amazing. (Pay, of course, will be in the form of massive compliments and kudos). So rush right over to the Lodge, select your musical and fill out the interest sheet at the front desk. Once approved, you can start having your own auditions, and rehearsals for the musical medley evening. The date will be announced later. Tom Shelley's directorial debut in Four Seasons' first ever complete radio show was a total success. We were so pleased to hear audience feedback that everyone could hear every word of the delightful show. If you missed it, we're sure sorry. However, don't despair… Tom's already planning another show for October 4. Put it on your calendar now so you don't mistakenly go on a cruise or something and miss your second chance. Bring all the grandchildren to our Fourth of July show, beginning at 2 pm on July 4 (after the club competitions). We will be featuring comedy, dancing, a piano solo, Nu Beginnings, magic acts, Standard Jazz, a reading, several skits and a Four Seasons Singers sing-along to round out the afternoon. We look forward to a patriotic show promising a great time for all. While you've got your calendars out, jot down December 7, for our annual holiday show. If you have a talent you would like to share, please complete the approval sheet, and submit it to the front desk. We want to make this holiday show ultra-spectacular! We are also planning another PG-55 show sometime in the fall. We know you have some entertainment you have always wanted to perform that's not quite fit for little ears, so now's your chance. (Not too risqué, please!) Submit your approval sheet, and let's get crackin' those adults-only jokes, skits or songs! Also in our future is a recreation of a TV quiz show (i.e., "What's My Line?" or "Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader?") Maybe even a simple trivia show. Yes, there will be prizes for the winners! PAC is alive and well and planning lots of fun for your future entertainment enjoyment. Come to one of our meetings and contribute to the amazing and creative ideas. We meet every fourth Tuesday of the month at 4 pm in the Lodge Conference Room. Join us! … Please? … ~ Eileen Gilbert 32 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2013 | clubs & Groups Four Season Singers We have been having a great time rehearsing for the Fourth of July show. We hope you enjoy the patriotic selections we will be singing, especially our new song about the Statue of Liberty. The music was challenging, but I am very proud of the great job and all the work all our singers and accompanist did. We meet in the Lodge Ballroom every Monday from 3:30 to 5 pm. As always, if you are interested, you can contact me at (951) 797-3466 or email me at bawasco@dc.rr.com or come to any Monday rehearsal. ~ Barbara Wasco Classical Music Club Do you have an interest in our classical music club?
