Activities Director Corner June is here and we're halfway through the year… how did that go by so fast? But here we are and we have a lot of summer plans for fun! You still have time to get your Raveler's Concert tickets if you rush over to the Lodge before Wednesday, June 5. Tickets are only $25 and all proceeds go toward entertainment equipment enhancements, for your enjoyment. Spring Home Tour wristbands ($5 each) will be available on the day of the event, also June 8. This is your last chance to attend the Family Feud event on Friday, June 21. I know you will kick yourself if you are sitting in the Bistro on that Friday night eating your dinner and listening to all the laughter and entertainment going on in the next room… yes, you'll be the one begging me to please let you in this one time, because if you would have known that it was going to be so great you would 10 By Cindy Graves, Activities Director have been the first one to pick up your tickets, and I will have to sadly say that it is too late. Calling all Clubs and Groups: In just a few weeks we will be having one of the busiest, most hectic and fun days that we have at the Lodge: The Giant Fourth of July Celebration. In the morning, we have club competitions with an awards ceremony to follow at 1:15 pm in the Ballroom. There will be a potluck indoor picnic with a sign-up sheet (on the Lodge desk Tuesday, June 18) to indicate your choice of potluck item and help you want to give during this festive occasion. Remember, America is what it is today through the community spirit which permeates this great nation. We are a nation of doers, a nation of givers, FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2013 | community News a nation of good citizens willing to take the foil off of potluck items brought to our Fourth of July Party. Come and be that model citizen. Be part of the "Patriotic Potluck Volunteer Team," who will throw an extra paper plate away or shove a serving spoon into a salad. This is your chance to be part of the greatness of America. Drinks, snacks, tableware and favors will be provided. If you're not interested in the potluck, Smitty's will offer inexpensive hot dog and hamburger combos. Following the club competitions, the potluck picnic and the awards ceremony, will be the ever-popular, Fourth of July Variety Show; all with no entry fee to you.
