Judy Taylour, of the Santa Clarita Valley Computer
Club, gave a Zoom presentation titled "The Cloud is Here
– Don't Get Left Behind".
She started by asking, "Are you using the Cloud?"
Many people answered, "No." She then explained that
computer buzz-words such as "Cloud" mystify a lot of
people; and they are, in fact, utilizing such technology
without realizing it. After a little discussion, we were
surprised to find out how much we are using the Cloud
and how much more is out there that we can take
advantage of.
Many of us no longer have just one computer. We have
a smartphone, a tablet, and possibly a second computer.
The Cloud helps us keep our email and data files in sync
on all of them. When we want to share files with family,
friends and associates, and emailing them is not very
efficient, the Cloud is a better way. Ms. Taylour explained
how to use Cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google
Drive, OneDrive, and others to make things easier.
The Four Seasons Computer Group meets on the
2nd Tuesday of the Month at 10:30 am. Currently, our
meetings are held via Zoom. Contact Larry Workman at

We hope that everyone was able to enjoy the
holidays! While everyone continues to struggle
with the pandemic and associated social issues, the
Rainbow Group is optimistic that we will soon be
able to resume much of our lives as before. There are
sure to be differences, but we will still support the
Four Seasons LGBT community and our neighbors
as best we can. We have been reminded that our friendships are vital
to all of us. We have enjoyed a couple of Zoom "virtual" meetings.
We will update the Rainbow Group Facebook page and email
list with any late breaking developments or
announcements of a Zoom meeting. We will
schedule a Zoom meeting in January, so stay tuned
for that update. We hope this finds our members,
friends, and families safe, healthy, doing well and
we look forward to seeing everyone again soon. We
have a LOT of catching up to do!
