FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2021 55 Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time. Life Guide Bible Study Happy New Year! We are all looking forward to 2021 with hope for the future. As we consider how we as followers of Jesus desire to live, let us listen to the words of Apostle Paul in Colossians 3:12- 15. "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since, as members of one body, you are called to peace. And be thankful." We encourage you to maintain communication with each other by phone and email. Please share any prayer requests or praise reports. If you feel comfortable, consider meeting in smaller groups in outdoor settings as the weather permits. We will keep in touch in the coming months and keep you all in our prayers. Please contact Doc or Letha Sellars with any questions or comments at (951) 797- 3302 or docletha72@gmail.com. ~ Doc Sellars Intercessory Prayer group Greeting intercessors, friends, and neighbors! Happy New Year! I welcome 2021 with great expectations, 2020 was a year that we will never forget. Now is the time to move forward with plans of recovery; this means working together with one common goal. We will not make the same mistakes but we will pick up the pieces, and move on to restoring what was lost. Many people already know how to do this because they experienced fires, floods, and other disasters. When we all work together, we will heal one another with love and hard work. We already see this with many giving hearts that feed the hungry, and support our food banks, who volunteer to serve and also support with monetary gifts, and help the disabled. Thank you. Our prayer group will continue to pray for our community and all the surrounding cities. Come and join us every Monday at 9 am on the conference line. Men are welcome. If you would like to join us, email me at eaglewatchwb@aol.com. We're praying for you. ~ Cookie Bonner Bereavement Group MY LAST GOODBYE Though we had no say about our creation, Aren't we glad we got the invitation? But it can happen that we are summoned To abruptly leave the celebration Without having a chance to say goodbye. We have no say As to the day We will be taken away. Just when we get the hang of it And think we have all the pieces fit Is when we are told to quit. Oh how sad it would be To take leave of those Who mean so much to me Without saying goodbye. So, should my life abruptly end; Farewell to you, family and friends. It was a good time and a good life. No extraordinary strife. The bad times I've gotten through; Couldn't have done it without you. (You were fun to be with too!) Thank you, for your smiles so dear, For your patience and cheer, For your encouragement and love. For the fact that you are here. Goodbye, adios, do widzenia. Goodbye, til we meet again. I have often said that there are many more gales of laughter emanating from a Bereavement Group meeting than there are torrents of tears. Members find many ways to express their feelings, and writing is one of them. Jane Aviles, who finds that writing poetry is the best way that she can stay in touch with her feelings, has gifted our group with many poems. With the pandemic responsible for much isolation and the tragedy of family members not being able to be close to a loved one during illness and even death, Jane turned her thoughts and feelings to the topic. The poem at right is addressing those thoughts but with a bit of whimsy to lighten the grimness. If you are struggling with grief, please come join us. Currently we are on Zoom for meetings, but before you decide that our forum is not for you, please give me a call. I never pressure anyone to join us, but please be willing to listen. My name is Laurie Larson Zeldin and my phone number is (951) 922-0934. All contact is confidential. ~ Laurie Larson Zeldin
