"With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning!" We share with pride a group picture (below) that was taken a few years ago. Yes, you will see some treasured faces that we carry in our hearts. One of our privileges in Team Sunshine is to honor the passing of residents here. As we start 2021, may we say, if you have lost a loved one, "We are so very sorry for your loss." We don't always know of all the passings in this community. We are here to be of service when you need us. As we sneak into 2021, we are scratching our heads and wondering where 2020 has gone. It has been a rough 10 months and we are walking the same path with COVID. We have no action here except to protect ourselves and others from this virus that seems to seek out all age groups. Team Sunshine works behind the scenes with as much help as can be allowed. Our card and telephone people are busy as well as others helping to find caregiver services for those who request it. If you are new to our community and are not aware of Team Sunshine's services, you can pick up a Caring Connection Card compiling our outreach here in Four Seasons. Cards are available at the front desk in the Lodge. We want to acknowledge our Activities Director, Tracie Rodgers, for her efforts to keep us busy with virtual artwork, pages to color in the Herald, craft information, Bistro menus and Lodge updates. Thank you, Tracie, for keeping us busy and placing a smile on our faces in this time of quarantine. Celebrations/Memorials: We were saddened to learn of the passings of Raul De La Hoya, Jerry Tripp, Tony Maldonado, Jack Lape and Fran Ledbetter. The families have been contacted and any services that we can provide will be fulfilled. Our deepest sympathies go out to these families. Prayer Requests: For those wishing prayer, a prayer request box has been provided in the Multipurpose Room for your convenience. If you have a request, prayer cards are provided. The cards are picked up weekly and your request will be filled. Marietta Ruppaner collects prayer requests and emails them to members of the prayer team. When COVID-19 restrictions in Riverside County are lifted, the prayer team will resume meeting in person. If you are interested in joining, call Marietta. Closing Thoughts: "Let our New Year's resolution be this: we will be there for one another as fellow members of humanity, in the finest sense of the word." ~ Goran Persson 20 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2021 | Team Sunshine Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, & time.
