60 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2021 | Roland Miner, better known as "Bud," passed away at his Sun Lakes home November 14, 2020. He was 91 years old on November 1, 2020. Bud, and his wife Shirley, moved to Sun Lakes shortly after their 1989 marriage and Bud's retirement from the Southern California Edison Company. They quickly made friends with their new neighbors and enjoyed many neighborhood "get togethers." Bud ultimately became District 9 Delegate as well as president of his Sun Lakes Bowling league. All of which gave him great pleasure. There were many trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas with the bowling league where dinners and good times were shared and enjoyed. In the meantime, he spent many hours researching his family with the Sun Lakes Genealogy group. He made several trips to Salt Lake City in the course of the research. Bud ultimately served as their president for several years. As the years passed, Bud's chronic lung problem made all activities more difficult, which was when, especially his bowling friends, stepped in to carry his bag, pick him up to go to the bowling alley, etc. Bud's two lovely daughters, Dawn Clear and LeeAnne Kallen, were with their Dad to the end. His 91st birthday was especially wonderful as all were there to help their Dad, Grandpa and father-in-law celebrate. The end of his life came peacefully as he was ready to be with the Lord. Rest in Peace my Dear Husband. Marilyn "Jeanne" Crow On Sunday, November 15 Marilyn "Jeanne" Crow passed away at the age of 86 due to Alzeimers. She married Bass "Don" Crow in 2002. He passed away in 2012. Jeanne had her Master's Degree in Home Economics and had a passion for cooking and baking. She also loved to travel and visited all 50 states and many countries in her lifetime. Friends we will miss
