A new year… full of hope and promise, as we anxiously await the
health of our nation and those we love.
While we "buckle down" for what we hope is the last long haul of
self-quarantining, our crafty, talented members continue to create
and share their work during our Zooming sessions. Several members
who knit and crochet (better known as the Kneedlers and Hookers),
continue Sewing Etc.'s philanthropy by making blankets and caps for
the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Tri-Cities Hospital. And some
make small soft toys for newborns and young children at the hospital
through the Auxiliary there.
Fridays at noon we meet over Zoom (what would we have done
without this service these last months?) to bolster our spirits, and
hold our monthly meetings on the first Thursday of every month at
9:30 am there also. As always, we accept donations of fabric, yarn,
and equipment. We re-purpose whatever we can. Please call for pick
up or drop off.
If anyone would like to participate in our activities and is not sure
of who to reach out to during this time, please call Chris Sanderson
at (858) 442-1834, or MaryLu Belisle at (562) 454-1931 for more
information. Also, please visit our website, lovingly updated by Terri
Eckhardt, http://ohccsewing.wixsite.com/ohccsewing.
All are welcome to join us. Dues are $7 per year. Dues paid now
are good through then end of 2021. We look forward to seeing you in
person when life gets back to normal, but meanwhile, we'll be Zoom-
ing!
