18 | OHCC LIVING | JANUARY 2021 | Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time. The RV Club wishes everyone a very happy and healthy new year, 2021! Sadly, some of the trips planned for 2021 have been canceled – but here's a brief summary of what you can look forward to in this New Year. Hemet and Ramona Pageant (April 28 - May 3), Sequoia and Kings Canyon (May 17 - 21), Days of Wine and Windmills in Buellton (Sept. 20 - 26), and Christmas in Branson, MO (Nov. 1 - 6). For more information on all trips, visit the RV Club website and read the latest issue of The Open Road. Correction: In the November issue of OHCC Living, not all of the wagon masters were listed for the Park City, Utah, trip. Inadvertently omitted were the head wagon masters, Greg and Susan Kusiak. The RV Club appreciates Greg and Susan's work toward this tremendously successful trip. Sincere apologies for the oversight. As you know, our club has trips only because members organize them. Without wagon masters or pop-up hosts, there are no trips. If you have a trip idea and want to get involved in leading a trip, contact our VP Trips – Bob Becker. RV Club Park City, Utah trip Jan Malone & Sondra Peppe at RV Lot event Tatis Aiken at RV Lot event Let's face it: those of us who have pets tend to think of them as our best friends — or sometimes, our kids. They are an important part of our lives. That's why the OHCC Pet Lovers Club was formed — to further all issues regarding the welfare of our companion animals. We provide community socialization, support and safety for pets and their owners. The Club works in cooperation with other animal groups, such as the Humane Society, Canine Companions, Love on a Leash and PAWS to benefit all companion animals. We have several membership meetings a year, with programs designed to assist owners in the training and maintenance of healthy, appreciated and loved animals. Our general membership meeting is in November, and we have at least one other meeting during the year, usually in August. One special service offered by our Club is maintaining an updated database of resident pets and their owners to help reunite them if lost, and to care for pets in the event of a family health emergency. All dogs and cats are registered residents of OHCC and should be included on the annual registration form so that we can easily reunite a found pet with its owner. Our Cat Connection maintains a list of cat owners who agree to care for each other's kitties when the owners travel out of town. The Club also maintains a list of local pet services for our members. If you love pets, this is the Club for you. Dues for 2021 for new members are $6 a year for individuals and $10 for families. Contact Ellen Kippel (frizz9@cox.net) or (714) 893-7621 Pet Lovers Club
