| OHCC LIVING | JANUARY 2021 | 5 GM's Message By Wendy Panizza Happy New Year to all of the residents and staff here at Ocean Hills Country Club! As I write this message in the middle of December, I'm struck by the realization that by the time you read this, we'll have (hopefully) enjoyed a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to the new year, like never before! We are currently enduring our second wave of stay-at-home orders, this time as a new regional order from the state. Thus, staff began staggering our shifts, and working from home, where remote work is possible. Fortunately, we were able to leave our outside venues available for resident enjoyment, with little interruption. Of course, use of any of the OHCC facilities is always at your own risk. To reiterate resident responsibility, please note that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By entering and using the community facilities, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to this potentially deadly disease. Because of the unprecedented rise in the rate of COVID-19 cases in December, and not knowing what this is going to look like in January, the Board agreed to permitting a delay on issuing new decals for now. Also, in consideration of pending proposed rules revisions relating to the Recreational Vehicle Parking Agreement, expected for Board consideration in January, residents will be notified at such time we are able to practically apply decals to all OHCC resident vehicles in a safe manner. Please be sure to check out the Call for Volunteers for your opportunity to serve on OHCC Committees! Applications are now being accepted for the following Committees for a two-year term: Architectural Review, Audio/ Visual, Community Service, Golf Course, Landscape, Community Image and Marketing, and the Emergency Monitoring System (an AdHoc committee). Applications must be received at the HOA Office or submitted through the website (www.oceanhillscountryclub.com) by Mon., Jan. 4, 2021 at 4 pm. Committee Appointments will be announced by the Master Board at the monthly Regular Board Meeting in January, 2021. Before I introduce our newest team member, a special shout out of appreciation goes to Community Manager Robyn Dawson, who has done a superb job in covering a wide variety of landscape issues relating to the Master Association since September, and to Angie Ripsco, Event Coordinator, who has taken the minutes of the Landscape Committee and Golf Committee meetings for the last several months; thank you both sincerely! I am so pleased to introduce Douglas Dye, the new Landscape Operations Director at Ocean Hills Country Club! Douglas comes to Keystone Pacific Property Management with several years of community management experience where he demonstrated knowledgeable and focused administrative support for many community associations. He has extensive experience working with committees and boards of directors, and in tracking services and projects performed by a variety of vendors. Douglas enthusiastically embraces the opportunity to focus his attention on landscape services for OHCC, including irrigation water management. When asked about off time, Douglas says, "I like to surf, take walks in nature, and join in on any form of celebration. When I am not at work, I like to attend renaissance festivals and entertain guests that come to the festival. There is nothing like walking around a park in full metal armor!" Please join me in welcoming Douglas Dye to the OHCC Community, and the Keystone Team! Douglas Dye, Landscape Operations Director – Keystone Pacific Property Management, LLC, OHCC
