Our goal is to have all active Advisory Committees share their news here each month. Thank you in advance for everyone's participation! Library Advisory The libraries are closed due to COVID-19. We anticipate this schedule continuing at least through February. Books, puzzles and audio books are available on the front patio of 5354 W. Pinehurst. Please do not "dump" boxes of newly donated books. Fiction or biographies published 2011 or later may be left on the shelving or patio. Call (951) 777-5700 with any questions or concerns. Residents interested in serving on the Library Advisory Committee or shelving books for one half to one hour once a week, or as a substitute shelver when the libraries reopen, please call the above number or fill out a volunteer interest form at the Main Clubhouse reception desk. February has arrived! We are dealing with the Santa Ana winds and the bone-chilling cold, but we are full of hope as we know the COVID-19 vaccine is here to take us from abject darkness into the rays of sun shining on the San Gorgonio mountain range. We certainly accomplished many home projects during this time of quarantine. The Lifestyles Committee continues to be grateful that under the amazing guidance of Courtney Taylor, our publisher, we continue to edit the Sun Lakes Lifestyles magazine. As different clubs and groups continue to share their information with this Committee, our job is to be sure that spelling, grammar, and punctuation is correct. We do not change dates, names or phone numbers. Those of you who submit the articles are to be congratulated because most of the time you make our editing a delight as you keep us informed as to coming events, as limited as they have been. Lifestyles Advisory We would like to encourage you to turn your lawn sprinkler timers up to 9 am as it is a danger for people walking on the sidewalks early with the frosty and icy mornings. If you notice intruders following you in the gates on bicycles and on foot when the gate stays open, please call Security and see if they want to follow up or have you call police.
