Young at Heart Young at Heart will host a "LOVE IS BLIND, CHAMPAGNE AND STRAWBERRIES" golf tournament on Sat., Feb. 13, on the Sun Lakes Executive Course. This fun, pre-Valentine's Day event will have a 1 pm shotgun start and participants will be treated to champagne and strawberries on hole #6. Players can pick their own foursomes. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded in a socially distanced ceremony following the tournament. Entry forms and all the details will be sent to members via email. For questions about this event, or to join Young at Heart, call Michele Walter at (951) 202-8009. All 2020 club membership dues have been rolled over to 2021. Annual dues for new members are still just $10. There's no quick way through tough times like this. It takes however long it takes. But there are friends to lean on, laughter to help us forget for a while, and sometimes a little grace shows up where we least expect it. Last year we celebrated Valentine's Day together with laughter, camaraderie, good food, and wonderful entertainment. This has temporarily been halted, but we still have our wonderful friends to get us through the dark days. We know that next year we will be together. In the meantime, the most important thing we can do is to keep in touch… see what's going on with our friends… on the phone, by email or on Facebook. The availability of the restaurant, pools and activities that we can participate in changes from week to week. Our thanks go out to our President, Joan Blumenfeld, for calling our membership to keep in touch and to put a smile on our faces. She will continue to do this until we can be together.
