| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2021 | 3 From the President By Sandra Moyer We got through the holidays all hoping for a better and somewhat normal New Year. This is yet to be determined. Again, there is not a lot of information to share at the time of this writing because the Board does not meet until Jan. 13 and my article is due by the 7th. Here is what we are working on and upcoming events. First, the Board along with Management is working with County and San Gorgonio Hospital to set up clinics here at Sun Lakes to administer COVID vaccines when they are made available. At this time, the date is unknown. We are hoping for end of February or mid-April. We will get you informed as progress is made. Second, Board elections will be here soon. I had reported in my January article that there were two openings, but there will now be three. I am sad to inform you that for personal reasons Frank DiNucci moved to Florida. His last meeting with us was on Jan. 13. In the short time he was on the Board, he was a great asset and very involved with the community. He will be missed and we wish him the best. The Board chose not to appoint someone for just two months, but to add the opening to the ballot in March. There will be two full terms of two years and one for just one year (to finish out Frank's term), thus keeping the 2/3 scenario. This assures that we always have experienced Board members. Here is the schedule for elections: a. Pick up Candidacy Form in the Administration Office beginning Mon., Feb.1. b. Form must be returned no later than 5 pm on Fri., Feb.19. c. The Inspectors of Election will review each Candidacy Form it receives and place all eligible candidates on the ballot. To be eligible you must be a homeowner, lived here for two full years, been involved with the community, and in good standing. We will still hold two "Meet the Candidates" forums. One on Tues., March 2 at 6 pm. and one Wed., March 3 at 10 am. At this time, we do not know location. It will either be in Ballroom or it will be virtually if COVID restrictions have not been lifted. The Member of Record date is Wed., Feb.17, and ballots will be mailed to each homeowner on Fri., March 5. Please continue to use Curbside To Go and Home Delivery.
