FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2021 5 Well, the year 2020 is finally over and we move into 2021 with hopes of better times. Vaccines are being distributed for the coronavirus, but the process is slow. We need to be vigilant in protecting ourselves, our families, friends, and our community by wearing face masks, maintaining at least a six foot social distance, and washing or sanitizing our hands often. Many of our amenities remain closed because of restrictions directed by the State and County Health agencies. We all miss socializing with our friends here at Four Seasons, and as restrictions are removed, we will open amenities as quickly as possible. The Board of Directors plan to reconvene the Ad Hoc Power Out Committee to make recommendations on how to be prepared for the public safety power shut off periods and other power outages facing our community. We are looking for volunteers with electric, gas, water, and solar experience to be part of this committee. Part of our community suffered through two power shut offs in recent months, and we believe this will be a reoccurring situation due to high wind events in Beaumont and the fire threats each year. So if you are interested in being part of the committee, please contact Eric Zarr, our FirstService Management representative to the Ad Hoc Power Out Committee. The Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and our Management Team are working together reviewing upcoming contracts. We look for the best price for the services requested, but also look at the service performed if the vendor is already providing service to the community. The Board continues to review our budgets and staffing requirements to ensure that the needs of our residents are being met. Recently, we adjusted the hours at The Courts and The Lodge based on actual usage of those facilities. Any changes that are made are usually temporary and driven by the COVID-19 restrictions, and will return to normal hours of operation as the restrictions are lifted and the amenities can be reopened. We thank all our residents for your patience during these unprecedented times in our Four Seasons community. As you all know the HOA dues to the 1,853 residents of our community Master Plan did not increase for 2021. The Board of Directors, Finance Committee, First Service Management, as well as our other committees, are working together to minimize our expenses this year through cost controls over all our budget items so that our budget preparation for the year 2022 will be as successful as this year. Please stay healthy, be safe, and kind to each other. Four Seasons is a beautiful community but it is our residents who make it a great place to live. If you wish to contact the Board about an issue, you may either email us at boardatfourseasons.org or call me at (951) 212-8898. Message From The Board By Jerry Monahan, Board President
