FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2021 57 As we say goodbye to 2020, we look optimistically to 2021. Hopefully the pandemic will be under control and life can start to get back to normal. We look forward to getting back to having normal monthly MC meetings (we haven't had a meeting since March 2020) and it would be nice to see more MC members back out on the road. Our ever optimistic club president Terry Humble already has some ideas for a March multi-day ride. We are really looking forward to that. It doesn't get any better than getting on the road early in the morning for an all-day ride, then joining the group for dinner and fun conversation at the end of the day, then doing it all over again the following day. Some of these riding adventures are just two-day rides, others are as long as week-long rides. It doesn't matter because as the saying goes: It's all good. Even though we are excited and optimistic for a good year of riding in 2021, it will be without the company of Bob Howard. Bob, who is a charter member of the Four Seasons MC, recently announced that he has decided to retire from a lifetime of riding. Bob was without a doubt one of the most well-liked and respected riders in the club. On a personal note, I discovered the thrill of motorcycle riding four short years ago when I decided that I wanted to learn to ride. Upon joining the MC, Bob kind of took me under his wing. He has been my mentor these past four glorious years of motorcycle riding. I can also safely say that Bob seems to know every backroad in California. He is a living breathing GPS. If there is an alternative little known fun route to take to get from point A to point B, Bob knows about it. We will miss you Bob and we are thankful for the memories! ~ Jim Ayala, jimrayala95@gmail.com Motorcycle Club Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time. With the coronavirus having everything shut down, this will be my generic Breeze article until things get back to normal again and I have something to write about. Our Club has 16 members with an average of 10 players participating each week. We have relaxed rules about throwing distances, pretty much where you are comfortable throwing, so everyone can participate and have fun. We have Quarterly Tournaments, both Singles and Doubles, with the winners' pictures being included in the Breeze. We have quarterly social events, which consists of dinner at The Kopper Kettle Bistro at 5 pm followed by dessert at one of our member's homes, which gets our spouses and significant others involved and makes for a fun evening of fellowship and camaraderie. We usually cap the evening off with a rousing game of LCR (Left/Center/Right). We're always looking for new members, so while you are hunkered down in your homes for the next several weeks, think about joining us. We meet at The Summit Wednesdays at 9 am fall through spring, and 8 am in the summer. Our contacts are Ron Erickson at (951) 846-3288, rejlerickson@sbcglobal.net or Gary Christie at (951) 845-0520, goldtoy@earthlink.net. ~ Ron Erickson Horseshoe Club Tim Mixon, Rick Brower, Jim Ayala and Scott Snyder taking a lunch break on the first ride of 2021 Bob Howard on his Triumph Tiger Bob Howard getting ready for one of our recent rides
