It seems like forever since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of this writing, there are still no group trips in the planning stages. It is unclear when we will be able to plan our trips. We hope all this will be over soon and we will be able to resume our meetings and trips. In the meantime, stay safe and well at home. Here at the Four Seasons Photography Club we have been talking about the opportunities we still have to travel and photograph sights in the area while staying safe and distant. We are planning activities for spring and have identified several locations in SoCal that would provide great photo outing subject matter while allowing us to travel in our own cars and maintain a safe distance. These locations, Southern California Railway Museum, Noah Purifoy Desert Art Museum, and the Palm Springs Air Museum, are just a few we are planning to visit. As of this writing we have no new photos to submit. In addition, I encourage all photographers to give purpose to your art by attempting to create images that elevate our human condition, in COVID and beyond. Each day as you look through you view finder, ask for guidance. Imagine the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi: "Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. Our meetings are still held on Zoom because of the social distancing requirements needed to keep us all safe. We all agree, we like this medium for communicating. Both the regular monthly meeting and our photo processing training sessions are going strong. However, our regular third Tuesday night meeting is suspended until we can meet socially due to lack of attendance in the Zoom meetings. Our first and third Thursday meeting focused on photo processing is still active at this time. We would love to see more of you attend and contribute. Join us the first and third Thursday afternoons at 4 pm for our Study Group on Photo Enhancement. Contact me at ReNaeStueve@outlook.com for Zoom information. From all of us in the Four Seasons Photography Club to all of our wonderful neighbors we send you a big hug. Smile and say BREEEZZE, and take those pictures! We hope to see you soon! ~ ReNae Stueve Photography Club Travel Group
