FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2021 59 On our December hike we enjoyed a gorgeous day. There were fall colors along the historic carriage trail frequented by local residents and now hikers, runners, bicyclists, and horseback riders. It was a good workout with hills, and long, flat stretches for about five miles. ~ Lynette Simonson (951) 377-0392 (cell/text), lynette. simonson@gmail.com TAKE A HIKE CLUB Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time. As you study the adjacent photos, can you almost hear the echoes of laughter and, okay, sometimes frustration? Can you feel the tension of our quarterly in-house tournaments, or hear the voices of people we miss? Soon, this room will be full again with happy billiards players. Look forward to that. And, also, look back to all the amazing people we have had in our group over the years. Thank you to each of you for your personal contribution to making our group so much fun, competitive, friendly and rewarding. We miss you! ~ Pete & Eileen Antoine, egcellent@msn.com Billiards for Fun Fishing Club It is February and the virus is still going strong. That means my fishing trips have been put on hold. I had my fishing buddies call me and tell me they were not going fishing until it is safe to do so. My wife keeps telling me that by March this virus will be under control and I can start fishing again. I am so glad that my wife told me this because she knows everything. On a lighter note, please remember to buy your new fishing license. The cost is around 75 bucks, but it sure beats getting a $250 fine for not having one. I carry my license in my wallet at all times. Never know when you are going to find a new fishing spot. I went out fishing in December with a couple of brave guys from Four Seasons. I got one bite and we caught one trout. I was not the one who caught it. We were able to get out in the fresh air and really enjoyed it. So did the other 500 people who were fishing by us. Some day I will be able to go fishing again. At least I have something to look forward to. Tight lines to all my fishing friends and remember we shall overcome. ~ Richard Carrasco, ricarrasco52@gmail.com Being safe on our December 2020 hike to the San Temeteo Sanctuary.
