22 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | FEBRUARY 2021 | Needle Me Our hopes for a quick stay at home order disappeared, and early January 2021 will be much the same. Hopefully, as you read this in February, the toll on our lives and families will be lessening. On a bright note, this Christmas the granddaughter of a dear friend received a 'Learn to Knit Kit.' Maia is 11-years-old, and made this darling hat with her kit. Now all her friends are clamoring for one. She said she will use some of her Christmas money to buy more yarn. It was so uplifting to see a young person so interested in learning a needlecraft. It's important to pass on to the next generation that which can be so easily lost. So hopefully Maia can inspire those of us with grandchildren, grandnieces and nephews, or grand-friends to learn the arts of yarn. When we are once again able to meet in person, we would like to invite anyone who is interested in any type of needle crafting to please join us in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room on the first and fourth Fridays of the month from 1 to 3 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or Maggie Fussell at (951) 388-7640. Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, & time. Tennis Club TGIF We are still unable to start having TGIF/Karaoke, but hope that sometime in the spring, we will be able to return. Keep watching the Herald for news and updates. Miss you all. ~ Your TGIF Committee Billiards Four Seasons Billiards Team meets and plays Tuesday mornings 9 am to 1 pm. The team competes throughout the city of Hemet. Anyone interested in competitive team play call Ron Cordero at (909) 519-9095 or Art Martel at (909) 973-8208. We have a few people interested in playing horseshoes. There is a horseshoe league that plays on Wednesday mornings at 8 am at different locations around Hemet. We practice on Saturday mornings at 8 am. Horseshoes Tennis Friends, dressed in red, got in the Christmas spirit playing tennis on Christmas Eve
