OHSPA
This would be the time of the year when we would be so excited
to bring our first OHSPA concert to Abravanel Hall in late February
but… that is NOT going to happen this year! However, we have
rescheduled and they now are on our calendar for November!
Continuing our tradition, the second OHSPA concert is scheduled
for May, 1 2021 with contract in place BUT are we going to be open
in May? Actually, we will need April as well for selling tickets, etc. We
all will just have to "wait and see" what occurs but hopefully we will
know more next month. This year seems like it is going to be a "wait
and see" game…. at least for the first three or four months.
We have three great concerts scheduled. They have been very easy
to work with as we have given them their "down payment" when the
contract is signed. That has been a lot longer than a year ago. They
all have agreed to perform here when we (and the rest of the United
States) are "open." Most will be flying here from different directions
for their performance. The OHSPA Board is grateful that they will
be adhering to their contract plus we really want them to perform
here in our Abravanel Hall. Please stay safe. Someday this will all be
behind us and hopefully it will be sooner than later!

One of the consequences of our need to protect ourselves from contracting and spread COVID-19
infection has been lack of physical contact with other human beings. This is particularly true for
those who live alone. Research shows that:
• Many people feel "touch deprived" during the pandemic.
• Touch is shown to improve well-being.
• Caring touch with animals can provide benefits similar to those of touch with humans
Plus, when you live alone, it feels wonderful to have a pet who is SO happy when you come home.
DUES for Pet Lovers Club 2021 $0 for members who paid in 2020 and $6 per person or $10 per
