One of the best coaches is Larry Cohen who has
won 25 North American Bridge Championships,
who has retired from active play but continues to
write and teach.
His famous comment is,"The road to hell is
paved with good conventions."
He is a staunch advocate of "less is more." His
observation is that at every level of the game,
players are using too many conventions. Too often
he sees players form beginner to world champion
misusing or forgetting their methods. Everyone
would benefit if they would just KISS, quote from

If choosing just four conventions they would be:
Negative Doubles
Blackwood
Stayman
Jacoby Transfers
Not all Founders DBC members utilize the
negative double. It is easy to learn, and if played
correctly a powerful tool to get to the best contract.
We offer a Duplicate Bridge game that combines the superior
scoring of Duplicate Bridge but also has the friendlier and non-
aggressive attitude of home style Rubber Bridge. With Duplicate
Bridge, your true opponents are the pairs that hold the same cards
as you would rather than your opponents at the table. We are not an
ACBL game and for that, we not only offer an extremely reasonable
game price of just $2, but also give cash awards to the winners.

president of this bridge club, to see if this type of game might meet
your expectations. We are relatively small and have anywhere from
five to eight tables. The games are at 1 pm on the second, fourth, and
fifth Fridays of the month in Mykonos. You do not have to join this
club to play your first game; however, if you decide to join, the annual
dues are $6.
