24 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2021 | "Walk-Fit" Exercise Club March brings with it hope for warmer days and the beginning of spring. Time to leave our winter hibernation and start moving. Hopefully, we will be able to open our class soon or maybe it is already up and running if the COVID-19 numbers continue to improve. Whenever possible, come try our "Walk Fit" Class for added activity. A full hour of aerobic walking burns about 350 calories, is heart healthy and builds strength and stability. (Three times a week is 1,050 calories.) The class consists of eight different Leslie Sansone "Walk Fit" dvds. The easy-to-follow routines are set to music with varying tempos. The complete class is four miles, but you can come late or leave early to shorten your routine and work at your own level. A few of the dvds incorporate resistance bands (always optional). Some class members add light hand weights for added strength training. Stop by and give us a try. New members are always welcome, both men and women! When we reopen, the class schedule will remain the same: Mon., Wed., Fri. 7:45 to 8:45 am in The Lodge Ballroom. CLASS IS FREE! For more information, contact Karen Tuvim (316) 260-0847. Believe it or not, there are more verses. Hope this put a smile on your face! We assume you are getting some kind of exercise during this time of quarantine. We are still holding classes albeit via telephonic hookup. Like everyone else, we miss being together but, we believe this can't last forever. Hang in there and stay strong. If you have questions regarding this class, please call Jeanne Lincoln at 765-7112 or Char Weakley at 926-2599. Strong Adults Stay Young (SASY) Our SASY Song Weights and lifting, Weights and lifting, Go together cuz my weight is shifting. I was told by hubby Your hips and waist are getting chubby. Weights and lifting, Weights and lifting, It's an exercise that keeps on "gifting." I will tell you SASY, You're looking great and very classy… (Sung to the tune, Love and Marriage) I hope everyone is safe and well. Here is March and we still don't know what is going to happen. It is up to the powers that be whether we can or not start our Bocce season. Hopefully by the end of March or first of April we can set up sign-ups and season schedule. If it is too much later, it would mean a shorter season or another 2020. We will let you all know what is happening. There will probably still be some restrictions but, hopefully we will still be able to play. Remember that any resident of Four Seasons may sign out the Bocce equipment and play at any time. (The courts are not in good shape.) The Lodge attendant will be happy to assist you. They will take you to the spa building where the older equipment is stored and give it to you for your use. You would then return the bag to the door of the storage room and let The Lodge attendant know that you are finished. They will put it back at their leisure.
