| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2021 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA The Annual Meeting is approaching! The "Annual Membership" meeting is Wed., April 28. This year there are three positions available for two-year terms. In addition, there is a vacancy on the current Board so there will be a total of four positions filled. The fourth position will be for a one-year term to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Board Member Ken Pounders. A "Notice of Election" was recently emailed to residents. The "Notice of Election" contains election information and a list of candidates who qualified to run for the Board. If COVID restrictions are lifted in time and we receive more than four candidate applications, a "Meet the Candidates" night will be scheduled shortly after the ballots are mailed out this month. Please watch out for communications regarding this important night. Beginning around March 18, the Annual Meeting Notice and Ballots will be sent via first class mail to all owners. It is very important that you exercise your membership rights and vote. If you have any questions about the process, please stop by The Lodge. Mari, our Assistant General Manager, or I will be happy to answer your questions. I cannot stress how important and costly the election process is to the homeowner's association, especially if we don't achieve a quorum. So please vote! Also, be sure and sign the top left corner of the "Green" envelope! Bicyclists and walking on the roadways I am asking bicyclists to please observe the rules of the road. Please stop at the stop signs and do not ride on the Paseos! People cannot hear you coming if you are behind them. A few close calls have been reported to our office. Walkers, please walk on the sidewalks! I've pleaded with you many times and cannot stress enough how dangerous it is to walk on the roadway, given the age of the drivers in here and how easily distracted they can be. Some of the residents I see pass by daily are walking so far in the road that I have to drive over the double yellow line to safely pass them. Also, if you are not signed up on our website or to receive emails from us, please stop by the front desk to get signed up. Please remember if you have a question related to the Association, please call The Lodge at (951) 325-8188. If you have a service request or concern, you can submit it online or stop by The Lodge and speak to one of the staff members. They will assist you in filling out a Resident Communication Form. Thank you to all of you who read our articles. We hope you enjoy St. Patrick's Day!
