18 | OHCC LIVING | APRIL 2021 | It is good news indeed that state, federal, county and city campgrounds around the country are re-opening. Little by little California is loosening stay-at-home orders and allowing restaurants and outside dining to be opened. Individual RV trips are increasing as households receive their first and second COVID-19 vaccines. Hopefully this means group trips are close on the horizon. Two new pop-up trips have been added to this year's agenda: San Mateo Campground near San Onofre State Beach in June, and Roar and Snore Safari at San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Escondido for some time in the second half of 2021. For more details on these trips and others, visit the RV Club website and read the latest issue of The Open Road. And now, some RV humor: "How many RVers does it take to change a light bulb? Only one. The others are dealing with their grey water issues." Above are photos from the February 2019 trip to Long Beach, CA. Among the many activities included in this trip was a walking food tour of downtown Long Beach. RV Club Garden Club Welcome to spring! In spite of the continued shut down, the Garden Club has managed to stay involved in the community. We want to share some of the upcoming activities we are planning. Garden Club members will take part in the OH Driveway Arts, Crafts & Flea Market on April 17. Volunteers will be there with potted plants, garden decor, vases, and other miscellaneous items. Come find us on the map that will be distributed at a later date, and shop to your heart's delight! If you lived in Ocean Hills pre-COVID, you have probably enjoyed our Annual OH Garden Tour at least once — and perhaps many times! If you are new to the community, you are in for a treat in May. Plans are coming together for our first-ever VIRTUAL Garden Tour! In partnership with AV volunteers and Photo Club members, the Garden Tour will be available via photos on our webpage, as well as the OH TV channel. All residents will be able to enjoy the beautiful gardens from the safety and comfort of your own home. As always, the real 'stars' of the Garden Tour are residents who have volunteered to share their lovely gardens this year. Watch for final details to be announced in the May edition of Living magazine. RV Campground in Long Beach Walking Food Tour in Long Beach
