FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2021 25 Landscape Committee Spring has finally arrived in Four Seasons. The cold winds have subsided and we can now get out and enjoy the season. We are very fortunate to have many areas to walk and appreciate the landscape. Everyone is familiar with the beauty of our Four Seasons Circle and the trails, but there is a somewhat hidden walking park that many of our residents, especially our newest residents, aren't aware of. It is called "The Paseo," and travels between homes with entrances on Lewis Creek at one end and Salt Creek on the other, near the mail boxes. There is a winding pathway through large grassy areas, many types of trees, and beautiful stone creek beds. It includes benches and a large gazebo, complete with table and chairs, and is a great place to meet up with friends, walk the dogs, and just enjoy the scenery. Your Landscape Committee oversees the maintenance of all common areas like The Paseo, and we invite you to enjoy and take advantage of what our community has to offer. We are seeking new committee members and welcome you to join our monthly meeting at 1 pm on the third Tuesday of each month, or join us during our weekly Friday morning walks. ~ Bonnie Makela, bmakela@hotmail.com Facilities Committee The Facilities Committee is in the process of reviewing some projects we put on hold because of the COVID-19 shutdown. We are looking to get some of these completed so we are ready when we are allowed to resume some normalcy in our daily lives and facilities open back up for our use. To name a couple of projects we are looking at, one is to replace the worn seating in the Theater. Another is to add sun screening material to the shade area at the pool in The Courts complex. The Bocce Ball Courts have been redone and are ready for play. The construction of new shuffleboard courts is continuing and has been slow going because of a wet March. The Facilities Committee meets via Zoom right now on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 am. We always welcome residents to join us and share their ideas or concerns. ~ Jim Griffin, jjimgriff08@ aol.com The Paseo
