14 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2021 | Community Patrol staff are working with the HOA in updating the Permanent Guest List of each residence. The maximum number of permanent guests allowed for each residence according to the Sun Lakes Rules and Regulations is five. We will continue to work with those members who have exceeded the maximum number of permanent guests. Community Patrol staff has been working with the HOA in conducting a transponder audit. Community Patrol has had an officer periodically assigned to move between gates one, two and five to investigate those transponders that are not activating the gate arm. Notification of this audit will be updated on the Sun Lakes Country Club website as soon as it's available. This audit may carry over into April as well. Please be patient during this time and allow the officer to gather as much information so we can make this a much easier process in the near future. A friendly reminder to members of the community to secure your garage door at all times except when working in and/or around the garage. Community Patrol will continue to make courtesy calls to members at night to inform them of an open garage door. Community Patrol will also attempt to make contact with those during the day and evening hours who have an open garage door. Securing your garage door is important for the safety of you and your pets. Security codes (aka passcode) are used to verify the resident's identity for multiple reasons but especially for calling in a guest due to security reasons. Community Patrol staff on occasion will take a guest call in from a resident's family member and that family member will give the officer the resident's correct security code. Security codes are verified for security purposes and should not be used by anyone else other than the resident themselves. If you need assistance in resetting your security code, you can do so by contacting the HOA at (951) 769-6649. If you see any suspicious individuals and/or activity such as an individual walking in the neighborhood looking a t houses or looking into cars, unusual noises such as screaming, breaking o f glass, sounds of a fight or an individual carrying property that appears out of place, I recommend calling the Banning Police for non-emergency situations at (951) 922-3170 or 911 for emergency situations and then contacting Community Patrol at (951) 845-2163. Community Patrol will respond depending on the circumstances of the situation otherwise it would be handled by law enforcement. Safety Advisory 81 S.
