Art League
I have some great news this month. With the
gradual reopening of the facilities in Sun Lakes,
the Art League is also getting ready to begin
having our regular meetings and activities.
As I'm writing this in April, the board officers are meeting
together to make the new plans for the year, and the Art
League display case in the Main Clubhouse entry is being
refilled with beautiful works of art that were done by our
members. Be sure to stop by to enjoy this beautiful display.
Also, several people signed up and are participating in the
online acrylic painting classes being given by the professional
artist and Sun Lake's resident, Joe Oakes. Hopefully by
next month there will be actual classes again in the Main
Clubhouse Arts & Crafts Room. Watch for the announcements
in Lifestyles and also on channel 97.
For any new Sun Lakes residents who are interested in art,
the Art League is a very good group to be a part of. We usually
meet once a month, on the second Sunday at 1 pm in the
South Clubhouse, where we have a short business meeting, a
Mini Art Show, and a demonstration by a professional artist.
