| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2021 | 27 The Sun Lakes Playhouse Board is excited that things appear to be opening up. It looks like we may soon have the opportunity to get together again with monthly meetings, a potluck dinner and auditions for the next few performances. The Variety show to be shown on Channel 97 is in final preparations. There is still an opportunity to add your performance-ready singing, dancing or comedy act to the show. Please contact Martie Steggell for information. Our October play this year will be a Mystery Dinner Theater. We have selected a "real mystery" (wonder if you can figure it out?). Auditions will begin in July and rehearsals will start in August. If you are thinking about being a part of this exciting play, you can learn some new techniques or if you have never thought of yourself as an actor, Mary Flynn (MFLynn2006@msn.com) will be giving some wonderful instruction to anyone who would like to join her acting class. You will have an opportunity soon to speak with Mary during a "Meet & Greet" scheduled when we are able to have out first General Membership meeting this year. As mentioned in last month's article, we are still in need of a club Secretary. If you have these skills and would be willing to help, please contact Martie Steggell. We are also still looking for anyone who currently has experience in, or is interested in learning the sound and lighting boards. Are you interested in joining a group of fun people who love performing? We welcome those interested in singing, dancing, comedians, directing, being stage and house managers and many other backstage activities. If this appeals to you, consider joining the Playhouse. Join our Barbershop Chorus! Sheet music and learning materials are furnished to help even the novice enjoy the experience. You can sing in this men's chorus or enjoy a quartet experience with three other guys. We all have a song in our hearts waiting to come out.
