32 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2021 | We're back. Well almost back. As in the words of the immortal terminator Arnold S. (S. since nobody can spell Schwarzenegger), "I'll be almost back!" Of course we were never really away so is it proper to say "back?" Naturally since we are coming out of a pandemic there will be rules to follow such as continuing to wear masks (until Halloween when this year no one will be wearing masks)and stay ten, or no six, wait now the CDC says three feet away from everybody — to be safe let's say six! And SLCC will only allow groups of 10 in the clubhouse — with masks; so all this has to be incorporated into the Creative Writer's meetings. This means the group will be split into two groups and two days. If you are a group member or wish to be one you will be informed by phone or email as to how we will proceed with the group's new arrangements. Creative Writers still have the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room for the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month at 3 pm. So here it is time to start dusting off all those juicy stories you've been writing. Once again we will be able to meet and read our latest creations to an enthusiastic but limited crowd of fellow (gals too) writers. Follow the rules, stay safe and never, ever put the end of your story in the first paragraph. It discourages readers from wanting to continue reading. Please do not show up for either meeting without first contacting Roger Smith at (951) 769-2808 or email rlswriter@verizon.net. I know the light at the end of the tunnel is coming soon — just not sure when! I know we've all missed Paisano and can't wait for all the clubs to open up. We are looking forward to the time when we can be together to enjoy a great meal and fellowship as well as listening and dancing to the wonderful entertainment we have come to enjoy. Some news about those we've dined with: Larry Estermyer moved to Florida but he is moving back this month. Already has a place in escrow backed up to #8 in the Villas. Mann's moved to St. George, Utah. They no sooner got settled in when he had to have a five way open heart surgery. He's doing good now. Sadly, Gaylord Spence passed away. We still need an entertainment chairperson. Jeri will be glad to work with you through the year until you feel comfortable (most work is done over the telephone). Contact Jeri at (909) 731-3311. Oh, yeah… Jeri's job as vice president needs to be filled too (it's easy and part time). New members call Clark Robinson at (951) 797-0597. Be sure to continue to check Chanel 97 for updates and Clark will be sure to get the word out. Paisanos Group
