8 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2021 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2021 | Social Committee The Social Committee introduces Donny Brown: My name is Donny Brown, and I am the newest member of the Social Committee. I served as an RN for over 40 years, specializing in gerontology, behavioral health, and medical surgical telemetry. I have also been licensed as a real estate agent. My wife and I purchased our first home here in Four Seasons in 2014 and our second in 2017. Nursing is a discipline which encourages objective and measurable problem solving. I guess one of the main assets that I bring to the Social Committee is problem solving and critical thinking. While growing up my father would say, you can accomplish more together than you can apart. This philosophy has shaped the entire dynamics of my interpersonal relationships. I believe that the collective amenities of the Four Seasons community, it's social connectiveness, and ease of living are the most attractive features here. And I want to contribute my time and energy to make it better. My brother and sister-in-law also live in the Four Seasons community and we share a familial joy and good times that cannot be put in words. This is beyond sustenance; it's the living manifestation of our family's hopes and dreams. My brother and I chair and co-chair the Four Seasons Bid Whist Club. When we meet on the first Friday of the month, we give thanks to God for his grace. We eat home cooking and drink until we are full. We laugh until it hurts! Then, we play cards in such a manner that allow for two players to take home trophies, but everyone leaves a winner. Community Scavenger Hunt: The Social Committee is happy to present an outdoor community scavenger hunt that will encompass our entire community on May 15 from 11 am to 2 pm. Participants need to sign up with Activities Director, Tracie Rodgers at The Lodge no later than Fri., May 14. Participants can be individuals or teams no larger than four. Individual participants and teams correctly completing the hunt will be placed in a drawing for a $25 Bistro gift certificate (four awards given). Participants may use any mode of transportation for this scavenger hunt (car, golf cart, bike, or walking). All participants/teams will check-in at The Lodge and be issued a list of clues to help find their way to the scavenger hunt objects. Once located, take a picture of the object. As soon as all correct objects are found, head back to The Lodge to check-out. Happy hunting!
