Chief Conrad will update the Friends on the Police Department's commitment to working together with the community using innovative ideas, available resources, and government agencies to fight crime and improve the quality of life in our community. In the Department's history, Chief Conrad has been only the third internal promotion to Chief of Police. Chief Conrad has served 26 years in law enforcement and started his career with the San Diego Police Department in 1995, serving as a member of their SWAT Team as well as a Field Training Officer. For several years he worked in both San Diego's Mid-City Division and Northern Division. Chief Conrad has been with the Murrieta Police Department since November 2003, has held several special assignment positions and has been promoted through the ranks. Prior to his selection as Chief, Conrad spent two years as a Captain overseeing the Department of Operations Division. The Friends of the Murrieta Library invites you to join them on Zoom for this community service presentation by Chief Conrad at 10 am.
