Phyllis Penn, May's featured artist, is our original
"Valley Girl," having grown up in Santa Clarita. She
has been a member of the San Fernando Valley Art
Association, and was a student of Helene Jukoff, Valley
Art Instructor.
Phyllis has lived in The Colony for 10 years and is
showing her artwork for the third time. She paints
abstracts, portraits of people and landscapes in
watercolor, and is best known for her portraits of
animals. She has painted portraits of many Colony
pets who love to "sit" for her. We know you will enjoy
seeing her many paintings. Like many Colony artists,
Phyllis participates in the Craft Fair that we hold in
November, and is also a photographer.
