Approved LaBarre/Oksnee renewal at annual premium not to exceed $74,000. Election Services Proposals: There were changes in the Election Laws in 2020: "No person, including a member of the homeowners association or an employee of the management company, shall open or otherwise review any ballot prior to the time and place at which the ballots are counted and tabulated." Therefore, the Association elected to use a third-party election company for the 2020 annual election. Due to the new election law and success of last year's election, the Board ruled at its Jan. 21, 2021 Executive meeting to use a third-party election company on a go-forward basis. Staff solicited proposals from four election service companies for the upcoming Sept. 16, 2021 annual election. These companies are as follows: • The Inspectors of Election • Accurate Voting Services, Inc. • HOA Election Experts LLC • California Elections Company Approved The Inspectors of Election proposal for the Sept. 16, 2021 election at the lowest cost of $7,044.
