Theatre Arts 12 | OHCC LIVING | MAY 2021 | Your Theatre Arts Club has been busy planning for the future. We anxiously wait for a time that we can all be together again. It all depends on the government's COVID19 regulations and staff availability. For now, club members will be informed of any programming by email as events are scheduled. All performances will be produced on Zoom until we can meet in the Clubhouse again. Calling All New OHCC Residents: If you have an interest in the theatre (acting, tech, reading, costumes, set design, audience, etc.), please consider joining the Theatre Arts Club. Contact Jean Hefler at jeanhefler@hotmail.com for more information. The Zoom productions of Can I Put you on Hold? and Chatterton Country Club on April 20 and 21 were enjoyed by all in attendance. They will be available for viewing for a limited period of time on the OHCC website. Check your listings! Thanks to all the actors and supporters for making this a success. We look forward to the time when we will once again be able to present live entertainment! Good news from the Actors' Workshop and Readers' Theatre classes taught and directed by Sally Benton: With the recent news about the opening of our Clubhouse on a limited basis, we are excited about planning for face-to-face gatherings within the restrictions and guidelines for COVID 19. We are currently meeting with some of our past participants and are beginning to plan our strategies for the return of these much-missed activities. Those faces, however, must belong to members of Theatre Arts. Our last virtual play reading was Anita Simons' The Leisure Set. If you missed the reading, we will provide a link for our members only to watch a recorded version in the comfort of your home. Please request that link from Anita Simon (asimonsays@gmail.com). Play Readers Theater next Zoom performance will take place sometime in May. Remember, only Theatre Arts members receive emails with link to watch our Zoom productions. Our next Board meeting is scheduled for May 6 via Zoom, at 2 pm. The Board meetings are open to all members. If you want to attend, send Lois Powazek an email (loispow@cox.net) by May 2 so we can send you the Zoom link. Check your email inbox for details.
