4 | OHCC LIVING | MAY 2021 | Continued from page 3 • Received reports from the General Manager and the Recreation, Maintenance and Landscape Departments and the Community Patrol • Approved the printing of a marketing brochure at an estimated cost of $145 • Denied a Golf Club request for funds • Deferred a SERT request for funds • Approved the use of the overflow parking lot for a SERT exercise on June 11 • Postponed the consideration of a Rules change on like-for- like repairs pending feedback from the Architectural Review Committee • Discussed facilities reopening issues, including soliciting audience comments • Approved the use of the RV lot for an RV Club event on June 29 • Canceled the vehicle decaling process for 2021, to resume for 2022 • Approved the posting on the website of a collection of documents and updated information on the golf course renovation project • Approved two Community Image and Marketing Committee recommendations on signage changes • Approved the Community Image and Marketing Committee recommendation on trim colors for the exterior of the Clubhouse • Discussed the near-term need to replace major parts of the Clubhouse HVAC system and emphasized the importance of health considerations in its design • Approved the trimming of several trees and the removal of one per the recommendation of the Landscape Committee • Deferred a homeowner request for additions to a perimeter wall pending further information • We reviewed and approved an Annual Meeting and Election timeline. The Annual Meeting will be on Aug. 19; Members of record as of June 18 will be eligible to vote and candidate declarations to fill the four expiring Director terms are due by June 2. • Received committee reports from standing and ad hoc committees • Reviewed homeowner correspondence The next regular meeting of the Board of Directors is May 20 and may permit in-person attendance pending the lifting of additional restrictions. You will note that the Board has had frequent meetings over the past year as we dealt with pending projects and issues related to the pandemic. That is continuing at present as we oversee the renovation of the golf course and the many decisions required along the way. Our staff have been working at full throttle to keep up. I am grateful for the extraordinary efforts of my Director colleagues as they continue to serve the best interests of their friends and neighbors in OHCC.
